Big things are on the horizion for IMBA Canada in 2012.

After striving to become more independent in our operations, IMBA’s North American offices will once again be working more closely together in the coming months. Trying to add more value for our members and the mountain bike community at large, I’ll be working with IMBA’s President Mike Van Abel to find efficiencies between IMBA USA and IMBA Canada’s offices. In 2012, we’ve decided to focus on the following programs: Trail Solutions, Communications, and Membership.

With this in mind, five of IMBA’s Canadian staff headed down to Boulder, CO, last week to take part in field staff training at IMBA’s HQ. After four busy days of meetings on operations, new trail building techniques, and the rollout of IMBA’s Chapter program, I’m very encouraged by our organizations’ renewed alignment!
