After our visit in Revelstoke, we heard about a gear swap happening in New Denver, put on by the North Slocan Trails Society. Since it was close by, we took the opportunity to meet new people, and ride somewhere we hadn’t been before.

The Galena Trail leaves right from town along the old rail beds that were used for silver mining. Our favorite thing about this trail is its history. It takes you by mining and old town sites and provides spectacular views. It’s not a difficult trail since the rail beds don’t get any steeper than six percent, but the trails are old enough that they have grown in to become beautiful singletrack in a lot of places.
