IMBA CANADA ENEWS – JUNE 2014

IN THIS E-NEWSLETTER

IMBA CANADA – PROUD TO BE CANADIAN!

As we approach Canada Day, we at IMBA Canada are feeling especially patriotic and wish to wave our flag in thanks to the many Canadian companies, clubs and individuals who have shown their support during this time of restructuring. There are too many to name them all – but we’d like to highlight a few that have gone above and beyond to help us get our wheels rolling in 2014:
  • Subaru Canada: For extending our lease on the IMBA-ru for another season!
  • Origo Communications: For standing behind us during the financial strain of the last year, and generously coming on board as a corporate supporter in 2014.
  • 24 Hrs of Adrenalin: For unabashedly promoting their support and using their resources to create a fundraising opportunity for IMBA Canada at their upcoming 24Hrs of Canmore event, July 19/20.
  • MEC: For enthusiastically supporting IMBA Canada’s Take a Kid Mountain Biking program once again in 2014!
  • Cafe Domestique: For the wicked espresso shots that raised $500 for IMBA Canada at the Toronto Bike Show.
  • Origin Design: For helping us with our website updates and renewing our SSL certificate.
  • Parks Canada: For being an amazing Trail Care Crew and TAKMBD program partner, and a dedicated supporter of trails and mountain bike opportunities.
IMBA Canada exists for Canadian mountain bikers. If you are a member, we want to explicitly thank you for your support — Happy Canada Day!

EVERY DAY IS TAKE A KID MOUNTAIN BIKING DAY

Saturday, October 4, 2014 marks the tenth annual celebration of Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day (TAKMBD), an event which has put more than 53,000 kids and adults on bicycles worldwide — But we at IMBA Canada believe that every day should be TAKMBD. You don’t have to wait until October 4th to participate: Register your youth or kids event today!

Read about Mount Revelstoke National Park’s recent TAKMBD event in our Blog.

VELO QUEBEC AND IMBA CANADA: A VALUED PARTNERSHIP

In 2012, Vélo Québec and IMBA Canada came together to further the mountain biking agenda provincially in Québec and nationally in Canada. We signed an MOU, and are proud to be collaborating again in 2014. Read this special message from our partners in mountain biking at Vélo Québec.
