IMBA Canada added another course to its portfolio at one of Canada’s leading environmental education institutions, Fleming College this spring.  A part of the Continuing Education Progam’s Sustainable Trails Certificate, this course caters to both the professional and / or enthuisast who is looking to expand their skillsets.

Drawing on an ever expanding base of work that Trail Solutions has created in Canada Daniel Scott taught a small yet keen group of students about the trails planning process this past week at Fleming College’s Frost Campus, situated in Lindsay Ontario.  Over the two day course topics such as the fundamentals of sustainable trail design, new technology in trail planning and many others were covered.  The students even ran through a full planning exercise where they were given the opportunity to develop a trail system from scratch and roleplay the various steps that are typically required in order to compile a cohesive vision of a positive trails experience.  With a class of professionals who all work in a position which is linked directly to trails, IMBA wishes these bright students the best in their endeavours to enhance the trail world within which they all work and looks forward to witnessing these folk assist in championing sustainable trails in Ontario.

IMBA Canada Trail Solutions will be back up in Lindsay in two weeks time to teach the Design Course for the third year, so stay tuned!
