On June 16, Calgary’s MEC BikeFest started under cloudy skies but finished in a blaze of sunshine! The move to the Eau Claire area, sandwiched between downtown and Prince’s Island Park along the Bow River, put the party squarely in the middle of the city. There were food trucks and bands and some girls with hula hoops – it was awesome!
Pitching the IMBA tent.
Surrounded by bikefolk.
Now those are big wheels!
Travelling in style! I thought those trailers were just for hauling tools…
Stoked to be stoking…
Did I mention the food trucks? MTL smoked meat sammich FTW!
I had a great day and talked to a whole bunch of great people about sustainable trail and IMBA member clubs like Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance and Moose Mountain Bike Trail Society. Thanks for a great event, MEC!
