Most of us drive out of the city to get to nature, and trails. But if you’re in Philadelphia, chances are you’ll be flocking towards the masses to get your singletrack fix. Despite being one of the most populated cities in the United States, Philly also has the largest urban park system in the country.

Fairmount Park, which consists of 63 individual parks and 9,200 acres, offers residents and tourists alike the chance to get out in nature in the middle of a metropolis. The park is utilized for both conservation and recreation and also has a neat historical record, including many WPA projects.

Last weekend, we met up with Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew Steve and Morgan Lomelle in Philly to take part in their visit, and meet the good folks of the Philadelphia Mountain Bike Association.
